| Mira Mesa is a platau which has an ethnically diverse population. The west end of it is called Sorrento Valley which is a valley heading down to Interstate 5 and 805 from Mira Mesa. Sorrento Valley is one of the hot spots for business in San Diego with a lot of biotech and tech companies based there. Scripps Ranch is east of Mira Mesa, starting on the east side of Interstate 15 and rising up into the foothills. Scripps Ranch is a higher income area and goes down to Mira Mesa for some of it's entertainment. |

Bamboo Hut is a small place on Mira Mesa road that has a Pacific Islander motif. The people are friendly, and the food ( a combination of Pacific Island and Japanese) is very good. Overall, a good place to have small parties, up to 25 people. |
